After hours of trolling through the tubes of the internet and looking for how to map the triggers of my new wired x360 controller for windows as digital buttons, I found a lot of dead links and unhelpful advice and uneeded file downloads.

So I am going to share how I got XBCD (a driver/system program) to work for Win7 (64bit) [I assume this will work for Vista x64 as well]

You will need:
* Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider (available here)
* XBCD 0.2.6 (available here)

Instructions:

1. Plug your Controller into a USB socket in your PC

Run the Driver Signature Enforcement Override program, check the "Test Mode Enable" button, then the next button. Restart your PC.

2. Install XBCD 0.2.6

3. Update Controller drivers (Browse your Computer, then Choose to pick your driver from the list. Choose XBCD Xbox 360 Gamepad)

4. Run the override program again, check "Test Mode Disable", then the Next button. NOTE: When you Disable Test Mode, it will also disable XBCD driver on reset.

And behold you now have far more power over your controller than MS would allow you! Your can access the controller settings via the XBCD tab in your Control Panel.

If this guide has been helpful, please post here so I at least know I wasn't the only person pulling my hair out trying to get it to work! :D
